Environmental and Safety Statement

With the growing demands of user safety and environmentally safe products, Captain's Choice has developed an environmentally friendly line of marine products without sacrificing performance. This specialty line of marine products minimizes and even eliminates the danger(s) to the user and the environment compared to other marine products.

The raw materials used in our Captain's Choice line of products were carefully researched and selected based on such criteria as their aquatic toxicology and biodegradability data, California Proposition 65 (carcinogenic or reproductive effects), EPA guidelines, and exposure and contact hazard information.

Captain's Choice products are manufactured with:

Special solvents with better biodegradability, performance, and reduced health risks are used instead of many common solvents such as EB or butyl.
Organic water conditioners and suspending agents are used instead of phosphates, which contribute to algae blooms and lead to oxygen depletion in lakes and rivers.
Detergents and wetting agents based on natural sources are used for increased biodegradability instead of commodity detergents with questionable biodegradability and suspected estrogenic effects.
Organic acids which provide performance without the corrosive, toxic effects on the environment are used to better protect the user from chemical burn potential associated with the use of such acids as muriatic (hydrochloric), phosphoric, sulfuric, or hydrofluoric.
